Magnolia Gazing

From their fuzzy bronze bud casings to the lipstick spiraling-out pink of new blooms, these flowering trees are uniquely captivating. And this springtime ritual of magnolia gazing just gained new depth: in addition to enjoying the hypnotizing range of form in the blooms, stems, stamen, and leaves— I just learned the perfumed petals are edible.
